Pediatric Behavioral Health Sponsorships
Children’s Nebraska’s Behavioral Health offers two specialized sponsorship opportunities designed to support and grow the next generation of pediatric behavioral health professionals, including the pediatric Behavioral Health Technician-to-Nurse and Student-to-Therapist programs. These programs provide financial sponsorship, paid employment and guided career pathways for students committed to serving children and adolescents in psychiatric and therapeutic settings.
Behavioral Health Technician-to-Nurse Pediatric Sponsorship Program
The Behavioral Health Technician-to-Nurse (BHT2RN) Pediatric Sponsorship program provides exclusive sponsorship funds and employment to support nursing students who are interested in a pediatric psychiatric nursing career. Nursing students will be hired into the program before the start of their junior year of nursing school. The goal of the program is to prepare the student to successfully join Children's Nurse Residency Program upon graduation, having achieved successful NCLEX results.

Student-to-Therapist Sponsorship Program
The Student-to-Therapist Sponsorship program provides exclusive sponsorship funds and employment to support social work, counseling psychology, and mental health counseling students who are interested in a pediatric therapist career. Students will be hired into the program the semester they begin their advanced practicum/ internship. The goal of the program is to prepare the student to successfully join Children's Behavioral Health & Wellness Center team upon graduation, with an intent to actively pursue mental health provisional licensure.
