Fetal Heart Program

Children’s Nebraska’s Fetal Heart Program has compassionate care teams with everything you and your baby need. We’re equipped with sophisticated imaging tools and technology, as well as the expertise to diagnose and treat even the most complex heart diseases that are present from birth (congenital). These can range from mild irregular heart rhythms to structural defects, such as a tiny hole, or inherited heart disease.

For any diagnosis, you can count on high-quality care. We work closely with experts in Children’s Criss Heart Center and across other specialties. If your baby will need surgery, our heart surgeons will assess your baby’s needs, and we’ll help you prepare for the journey that lies ahead.

Your obstetric (OB) and maternal fetal medicine (MFM) providers remain your primary doctors during your pregnancy. We’ll work closely with you and them. After you’ve received a full evaluation, your providers will talk about treatments that best fit you and your baby’s needs.
